Student who cheated at A/L exam imposed a lifetime ban on exams

The school student who devised an elaborate scheme to cheat on the GCE Advance Level examination will be barred for life from taking any government exams.

Accordingly, the student will not be able to sit for any exams conducted by the Department of Examinations, Commissioner General of Examinations Jayantha Pushpakumara said.

However, Gampaha Magistrate DA Ruwan Pathirana, considering a request made by the lawyers of the student, ordered that the student be allowed to sit for the GCE A / L examination held at the Mahara Prison on the 4th.

The student from leading boys’ school in Colombo is accused of electronically transmitting questions in the chemistry paper of this year’s GCE Advanced Level Examination using a Bluetooth device to a tuition master and receiving answers from him.
