Sri Lanka government income increased by 9 percent in Q2 2017

Revenues earned by the Sri Lankan government in the second quarter of 2017 have increased by 9 percent in comparison to the year 2016, the Ministry of Finance said in a statement.

According to the Ministry statement, the government earned an income of 431,530 million rupees in the first 6 months of 2017 while in the same period a year ago the revenues were 396,220 million rupees.

The Finance Ministry rejected reports that government income has decreased in the year 2017.
