Ravi before Commission tomorrow

Former Finance Minister Ravi Karunayake has been summoned to testify before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry probing the alleged bond scams tomorrow.

 

The Commission Chairman Supreme Court Justice K. T. Chithrasiri had told Karunanayake’s Counsel Rienzie Arsecularatne PC to inform his client to appear before the Commission tomorrow at 10.a.m.

 

Although Karunanayake had been summoned to appear before the Commission twice, he excused himself through his Counsel that he was unable to appear before the Commission as he had to attend the Cabinet meeting on July 25 and the Security Council meeting on July 26.

 

Karunanayake’s Counsel informed the Commission that his client would be able to appear before the Commission tomorrow (2).
