President Maithripala Sirisena says that a new Cabinet of Ministers will be appointed in a few days. The President says he invites any Parliamentarian to strengthen the Government.
Following a meeting with the Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe on Thursday, the President said that a committee will also be appointed from both parties to discuss the future progress of the government.
The President also said he will call a meeting of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) Central Committee by next week to discuss about the SLFP ministers who voted against the No confidence Motion against the Prime Minister.
The UNP parliamentary members demand the resignation of the SLFP ministers who have voted for the No confidence Motion brought against the Premier and the government by the Joint Opposition. However the SLFP ministers have refused to step down unless the President requests them to do so.
