PM presents National Action Plan on HR to Cabinet

A National Action Plan on Human Rights had been presented to the Cabinet of Ministers on Tuesday by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, Lands and Parliamentary Reforms Minister Gayantha Karunathillake said on Wednesday.


Addressing a news conference at the Information Department, he explained that the Action Plan had been prepared under the guidance of the Cabinet of Ministers.


A Committee of Officials would be appointed to report on its implementation and an inter-ministerial meeting would be set up to review its progress, the Minister said.
