Opposition members arrive at parliament on bicycles

It is said that approximately 20 members of the Joint Opposition including MP Namal Rajapaksa arrived at the parliamentary complex today , on bicycles to signify the impact the petrol shortage had on the general public.

The group of opposition members arrived for the reading of the 2018 Budget that is scheduled to commence at 3.00pm today.

Reports confirm that former President Mahinda Rajapaksa participated in the demonstration.
