New state and deputy ministers today took oaths before President Maithripala Sirisena at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo.

State Ministers:

Palitha Range Bandara – Irrigation and Water Resources Management and Disaster Management
Dilip Wedaarachchi – Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development and Rural Economy
M.L.A.M. Hizbullah – Highways and Road Development
Mohan Lal Grero – Higher Education and Cultural Affairs
A.D. Champika Premadasa – Plantation Industries
Lakshman Senewiratne – Science, Technology and Research, Skills Development and Vocational Training, and Hill Country Heritage
Sriyani Wijewickrama – Sports, Provincial Councils and Local Government
Weerakumara Dissanayake – Mahaweli Development
