New dialysis unit established at Colombo National Hospital

Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne says fully pledged free health services have been established in the country as a result of the successful program being implemented by the government in the health field.

The Minister was speaking at the opening ceremony of the new dialysis unit at Colombo National Hospital Thursday .

This is the second dialysis unit established at the Colombo National Hospital. Minister Senaratne admitted the first kidney patient to the unit by registering him at the opening ceremony.

Facilities at the new unit were completed under the Kidney Disease Prevention Program in accordance with the government initiative mooted by President Maithripala Sirisena at a total cost of 20 million rupees.
