Namal and 3 others told to appear at H’tota Police

UPFA Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa and Provincial Council members Upali Kodikara, Sampath Atukorala and Major Ajith Prasanna have been notified to appear at the Hambantota Police Station today.

They have been informed in writing to arrive at the police station at 5.00pm today for questioning regarding the Joint Opposition’s protest in Hambantota.

It was reported this morning that Rajapaksa and fellow Joint Opposition MPs DV Chanaka and Prasanna Ranaweera were summoned for questioning tomorrow.

However, the Hambantota District MP had visited the police station today as he will be unable to do so tomorrow due to personal commitments and even sought a different date to give a statement.
