India develops Maduluwave Sobitha Thera Village in Anuradhapura

India and Sri Lanka signed a MoU to develop the Ven. Maduluwave Sobitha Thera Village (Elapathagama) in Anuradhapura District last week.

 

The MoU was signed by Taranjit Singh Sandhu, High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka and W. K. K. Athukorala, Secretary to the Ministry of Housing and Construction, in the presence of Speaker of Parliament  Karu Jayasuriya.

 

Venerable members of the Maha Sangha, former First Lady Hema Premadasa, several Members of Parliament, senior officials from Government of Sri Lanka,  Ravi Jayawardhana, Chairman of Maduluwawe Sobitha Thero Commemoration Foundation and other Board members of the Foundation participated in the event.
