Former Sri Lankan President’s son Yoshitha Rajapaksa allowed to travel abroad for two weeks

A Sri Lankan court Monday granted Yoshitha Rajapaksa, the second son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa permission to travel abroad.

The Colombo High Court considering a petition filed by Yoshitha granted him permission to leave the country for two weeks from 28 September for a personal visit.

Yoshitha Rajapaksa through his counsel had sought an order from Colombo High Court to temporary lift his travel ban and the state counsel did not oppose the request.
