Corruption case filed against Keheliya

The Commission to Investigate allegations of Bribery or Corruption has filed a plaint against Keheliya Rambukwella for abusing funds, belonging to the State Printing Corporation to the tune of Rs. 230,984 per month.

The period of offence is between November 15, 2012 and April 17, 2013.

The money was allegedly used to pay the mobile telephone bills of Rambukwella.

The plaint has been filed, against Rambukwella, the former Minister of Media and Jayampathy Bandara, the former Deputy Chairman of the Printing Corporation.

Chief Magistrate of Colombo Lal Ranasinghe Bandara gave the suspects, time till November 9, to file their preliminary objections. Kalinga Indatissa, P.C. appeared for the suspects.
