Protective fence along Viani Canal

President Maithripala Sirisena has instructed the director general of the Mahaweli Authority to erect a protective fence along the Viani Canal. Many vehicles plying on the nearby Badulla-Mahiyangana road have fallen into the canal. The fence erection will cost around Rs. 26 million.
