A/L exam begins today

The GCE Advanced Level examination which commences today will have 315,227 school and private candidates.

The examination will be held in 2,230 centres countrywide.

During the period the examination is held all construction work and other activities in the schools where the examination is held will not take place and no person, specially school teachers will not be allowed to enter the schools without prior permission.

Candidates have been requested to come to the examination centres by 8.00 a.m. and bring along with them their national identity card or a valid identity card with the examination admission card.

The educational authorities said the candidates would be prohibited from bringing along with them blue tooth, smart watches, mobile phones or any kind of electronic devices to the examination hall.
