Severe thunderstorm warning for several provinces

The Department of Meteorology says that thundershowers with severe lightning activity is expected in the Western, Samaragamuwa, Central, Southern, Uva and North-Western provinces for the next 6 hours. Temporary strong winds with speeds up to 70-80kmph could accompany the thundershowers, it said, issuing a weather advisory.
